What youll be doing As a Senior Accreditation Coordinator, youll play a pivotal role in supporting the academic accreditation process, ensuring that universities meet the highest standards. Working closely with the Academic Accreditation, UK Operations Manager, you will oversee the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of accreditation activities across a broad range of institutions. Your expertise will ensure the smooth running of accreditation visits, the effective management of processes, and the delivery of exceptional service to universities and volunteer accreditors. Youll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing accreditation procedures, providing guidance on policies, and supporting users of our Accreditation Database and Management System (ADAMS). You will work closely with senior academics and industry professionals, supporting decision-making processes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. What we hope you can bring to the role Were ideally looking for someone with experience in accreditation, education administration, or quality assurance. Youll have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have experience in process improvement, training, and supporting digital systems. You should be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively, ensuring that accreditation processes run efficiently and effectively. Knowledge of higher education governance or professional accreditation frameworks would be an advantage. A little more about the role Coordinate and manage accreditation visits, including scheduling, logistics, and stakeholder communication. Provide guidance and support to universities on accreditation policies, processes, and criteria. Oversee and enhance the Accreditation Database and Management System (ADAMS), ensuring user training and effective system functionality. Collect and analyse feedback to improve accreditation procedures and inform process enhancements. Support committee meetings and decision-making processes, liaising with key stakeholders. Assist in the recruitment, training, and coordination of volunteer accreditors, including senior academics and industry professionals. Ensure the accuracy of accreditation information published on the IET website and manage the annual accreditation fee collection. Contribute to the strategic development of accreditation services, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
