Legal Assistant - Wills, Trusts, and Probate Location: Southampton Salary: up to £26,000 Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Are you a detail-oriented, proactive individual with a passion for supporting legal professionals? Do you have an interest in wills, trusts, and probate law? We’re looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team and provide vital support to our busy Wills, Trusts, and Probate department. Key Responsibilities: Assisting solicitors in managing caseloads, including the preparation of legal documents, correspondence, and forms. Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, and other parties in a professional, compassionate manner. Conducting legal research as required to support casework. Managing diaries, coordinating meetings, and booking appointments for solicitors. Organising and maintaining files, both digital and physical, ensuring all records are up-to-date. Assisting with billing, invoices, and other administrative tasks as required. Requirements: Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in an administrative role within a legal setting, ideally in Wills, Trusts, and Probate. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software (experience with [specific software, if applicable] is a plus). Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
