We’re looking for a Technical Operator to support the assembly of our Optical range and machine maintenance of our automation equipment. What You’ll Do: Assemble and maintain products to high standards. Perform fault-finding and routine maintenance. Read and follow technical drawings, SOPs, and QCPs. Work independently and in teams to meet production goals. Maintain health, safety, and quality compliance. What You Bring: Technical skills in equipment maintenance & troubleshooting. Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities in this job description are not restrictive and the post holder may be required to undertake any other duties which may be required from time to time. To undertake the full requirement of tasks as set out in the technical operator section of the skills matrix. To have the ability to perform first line fault finding, basic equipment calibration, set up and routine maintenance. Be able to read, understand and follow all required documentation. Ie. SOP’s, QCP’s, Product and Technical drawings. To achieve the targets and quality standards set out by Production Management. To work efficiently and effectively as an individual or as part of a team. Have the ability to work with cross functional and mixed ability teams. Provide daily support to meet customer’s daily expectations Ensure that time and quality is of the essence in every activity. Accept that teamwork is a fundamental part of your job. Be flexible enough to comply with all reasonable requests asked of you. Ensure that regular communication is maintained with the Production Leader to advise of any issues adversely affecting your performance, any quality/equipment issues must be raised in a timely manner. Ensure critical issues are quickly recognised and resolved. Create an effective focused working relationship with key internal customers and suppliers. Work as a team – driving quality and performance – recognise your customers and suppliers and ensure partnership activities are always a priority. To maintain high levels of communication at all levels. Maintain high levels of Health and Safety at all times. Keep work area clean and tidy. Ensure a “safe and secure” environment, Ensure 100% compliance to EMS and HASAW act 1974.
