Children's Residential Registered Manager
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: Starting from £50,000 per annum (OTE £70,000) + OFSTED bonuses
Essential Skills for the Role
1. NVQ Level 5 Caring for Children and Young People
2. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a residential care setting
3. Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Manager
4. GOOD overall OFSTED report
5. Over 21 years of age
6. Full driving license
The Role
1. Ensure the Home meets the standards and expectations of its Statement of Purpose.
2. Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and ensure quality of care is consistent with the Children Homes Regulations and the Quality Standards.
3. Establish and maintain a competent, motivated, and confident staff team, offering leadership, managerial direction, guidance, and support.
4. Ensure adherence to the home's policies and procedures and manage resources effectively.
5. Develop systems for the efficient administration of the Home and maintain the fabric, equipment, appliances, and grounds in accordance with Health and Safety requirements.
6. Manage child protection concerns and complaints.
7. Liaise with Local Authorities, Schools, Health, and other professionals to achieve best outcomes for young people.
8. Actively promote the Home's equal opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice policies.

1. Ability to effectively lead the home and the team.
2. Ability to ensure the child develops in a caring and consistent environment.
3. Able to react calmly in stressful situations.
4. Able to respond flexibly and quickly to changing demands and priorities.
5. Demonstrated ability to cope with emotionally challenging situations and act appropriately under pressure.
6. Able to work within a team and on own initiative.
7. Good written and verbal communication skills.
8. Basic computer skills.
9. Domestic housekeeping skills.

11. Understanding of children's rights, advocacy, and representation.
12. Basic understanding of childcare legislation principles.
