Education, Health and Care Plan Officer (EHCP Officer)

We have some excellent opportunities in our Children with Disabilities service for self-motivated social care advice writers for our Education Health and Care Plans. The purpose of the role is to gather information and write good quality social care advice for children with special educational needs who require support in school via an education health and care plan (EHCP).
You will play a key role in ensuring this advice is completed within timescales. We are looking for people who are well organised, have good attention to detail, and can work to and meet tight deadlines. You must be able to work well within a team environment, be customer and child focused, and be proactive to deliver the role with a flexible approach.
Hours of Operation:
The Service will be open from 8.45am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday, and Friday 8.45am-4.15pm depending on its needs.
Locations of Operation:
The Children with Disabilities service works from various locations, but our main sites are Lifford House, One Avenue Road, and some working from home.

You will be a ‘can-do' person, who is passionate about delivering high quality service and performance. You will be able to work well within a committed team environment, be customer focused, and able to deliver the role with a flexible approach.
Key Skills:
* An ability to make phone calls to gather information.
* Attention to detail with an ability to work accurately e.g. literacy and numeracy.
* Ability to work on your own initiative with a pro-active approach to all tasks to ensure business objectives are met.
* An ability to work flexibly as needed to ensure contact is made with families within timescales.
* Experience of dealing with several conflicting and changing priorities effectively to achieve business objectives.
