Head of Design Ireland
As head of studio, you will be ultimately responsible for the creative output of the business and the strategy for design projects. You will lead, guide, mentor, manage, and support the team of interior designers, technicians, and visualizers. Excellent management, communication, and presentation skills are a prerequisite combined with a keen understanding of the design process and the commercial nature of a turnkey design and build business.
Location: Dublin - Ireland
Responsibilities:
* Have full responsibility for the smooth running of the design team including workload planning and allocation; people leadership, management, and development; ensuring quality control while driving creativity and innovation in everything we produce.
* Manage design leads in Ireland and coordinate responses to RFPs.
* Be the figurehead for design within the EMEA PDS/Tétris business and promote Tétris design capabilities internally throughout JLL.
* Report to the head of Tétris UK.
* Conceptualize creative interior designs for your own projects, including:
o Developing the client brief through client interviews, data collection, and building appraisal.
o Appraising client working methods through workplace consultancy practices to make recommendations for workplace transformation.
o Collaborating with Tétris Furniture Solutions.
o Overseeing multiple design projects simultaneously.
o Preparing pitch documents and presentations including briefing and managing designers, visualizers, graphic designers, and design assistants.
o Winning work by presenting personal and team designs in competitive pitch situations.
o Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of designers.
o Attending site meetings where possible.
o Allocating resources effectively and managing budgets.
o Establishing standards and guidelines.
o Setting a relationship of trust with the build team and all other departments.
o Reporting financial performance on a monthly basis.
o Liaising with technical designers, suppliers, and subcontractors to manage and develop the design through each stage of the process from conception to completion.
o Attending high-level meetings with clients.
