Job summary The post holder will be required to work independently, but under the guidance of Cardiology Consultant body and the Cardiology Service Line management team to facilitate patient referral pathways across Cardiology Service Line in sub-specialties of Heart Failure, Congenital and Electrophysiology. The post holder will be required to monitor referral and triage pathways for the sub-specialties of Heart Failure, Congenital and Electrophysiology. They will also be required to monitor diagnostic test actioning, flagging amber and red alerts within UHP Trust protocol timeframes and monitor diagnostic test review turn-around across the service line. The post holder will also be required to act as conduit for referrals between Cardiology and Cardiac/Thoracic Surgery to ensure completion of referral process and commencement of next treatment stage in timely manner.
