Excellent opportunity for a building services sector Electrical Team Leader / Lead Maintenance Electrician to join a busy and successful maintenance team to work on a large prestigious facility in the Chester area. We are looking for driven, professional and multiskilled engineers to assist in the Electrical / building services maintenance within the estates.
The role is a permanent position paying circa 42k-44k (depending on multiskilled background etc.)
On call 1 in 4 (£125 plus call out min 4 hours)
Mon-Fri 6am-3pm & 2pm-11pm rotating
40 hours per week plus overtime
Description
Within the lead maintenance electrician role you will be carrying out and supervising all planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the site. The role will require a flexible approach as you will often be called to carry out or support works that are outside your core discipline.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. To undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical plant, controls, lighting etc.
2. Overlap with general HVAC, AHU, FCU and mechanical services
3. Supervise maintenance teams on PPM and reactive works
4. Oversee sub-contractors on site and ensure RAMS etc. are completed and logged
5. Oversee compliance checks including tap temps, emergency lighting etc.
6. To complete PPM's in line with SLA and KPI agreements
7. To provide H&S oversight
8. Undertake small works minor projects where required
9. To respond to Helpdesk requests, providing a professional and timely service
10. To support the other members of the maintenance team with ad-hoc tasks across all disciplines
11. Client liaison and reporting into the Site Manager
Skills & Background Required
1. Recognised professional qualification e.g. City & Guilds Electrical Engineering (Level 3 (or Part 1 & 2)
2. 18th edition
3. Maintenance background in commercial sized buildings - PPM's and reactive works
4. Experience of building services and general HVAC overlap
5. Experience in lead and supervisory roles
6. Conversant with H&S, CDM, RAMS paperwork and record keeping
7. Must be presentable and reliable
8. Be capable of passing a security check
9. Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
10. Strong planning and workload management skills with the ability to manage short term and long term activities to agreed deadlines
