Year 2 Teacher required for a primary school in Birmingham. Role: Full-time, Long-term. Start date: February 24th.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. To plan and deliver effective subject-focused lessons following the national school curriculum.
2. Completing marking, assessments, and reports to monitor the children’s learning and development progress.
3. Manage and guide the class teaching assistant where required.
4. Use positive reinforcement to manage classroom behaviour.
5. Create a good parent partnership, ensuring feedback is effective following on from the children’s day at school.
6. Attend staff meetings and training opportunities to support personal career progression.
Ideal Applicants Will:
1. Hold a valid QTS (or awaiting); ECTs are welcome.
2. Have experience teaching in a KS1 classroom; KS1 experience is preferred.
3. Show good classroom and behaviour management skills.
4. Have a strong understanding of the KS1 school curriculum.
5. Have the commitment to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons to children.
