As a Release Manager at Red Rover Interactive, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating, planning, and overseeing the entire game release cycle. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, marketing, and production, to ensure smooth, timely, and high-quality releases. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has a deep understanding of game development processes, build management, and multi-platform publishing.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive release plans that align with project milestones, coordinating with internal teams to ensure alignment on release goals and timelines.
* Oversee the preparation, testing, and deployment of builds for various platforms. Work closely with QA teams to address issues and prioritize fixes for a seamless player experience.
* Coordinate with platform partners (e.g., Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, etc.) to ensure successful game submissions, approvals, and compliance with platform-specific requirements.
* Identify potential risks in the release cycle and work proactively to resolve them, ensuring timely releases without compromising quality.
* Act as the central point of contact for all release-related information, keeping stakeholders informed of status, issues, and changes. Document release processes, timelines, and best practices.
* Monitor and assess post-release performance and player feedback to inform future release strategies, working with support and analytics teams to address any post-launch issues.
We are looking for someone who:
* 3+ years of experience as a Release Manager, Build Engineer, or similar role in game development, with a strong understanding of the release process for multi-platform titles.
* Proficiency in build and release management tools (e.g., Jenkins, Perforce, Git) and experience working with multiple gaming platforms (e.g., Steam, Xbox, PlayStation).
* Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
* Able to anticipate issues, think critically, and troubleshoot complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex release details and technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules and timelines, ensuring precision in every aspect of the release process.
In addition, we expect you to have:
* Experience with live service game releases or frequent update cycles.
* Familiarity with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) practices and tools.
