Job Description
The Assistant Buyer role is multifaceted, balancing administrative tasks with growing creative and strategic responsibilities. You will partner with the Buying Manager to achieve sales and profit targets by shaping a commercially focused, well-balanced product range that aligns with the brand’s objectives. A strong understanding of market trends and sales figures is essential, alongside a keen creative eye, analytical acumen, and solid administrative skills. Key Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesCritical Path
1. Oversee the seasonal critical path to ensure key deadlines are met, liaising with suppliers and alerting the Buying Manager to potential risks.
2. Provide support across all areas of the buying department.
3. Manage all sampling requirements—current season, development, and archive—while maintaining an organized office and sample area.
4. Collaborate with the Buying Manager and design team on raw material requirements (fabric, trims, labels) for production, ensuring timely supplier deliveries in line with critical path objectives.
5. Coordinate with eCommerce on photoshoot call-offs and bookings, ensuring products are sent and returned promptly.
