We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Glazier to join our team. As a Glazier, you will play a vital role in the installation, repair, and replacement of glass in various residential and commercial properties. This position demands a meticulous attention to detail and a thorough understanding of glass specifications, measurements, and safety protocols. You will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and installing glass such as windows, mirrors, and storefronts, often working with different types of glass materials, including tempered, laminated, and insulated glass. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. The work can be physically demanding and may require you to lift heavy glass panes and work at various heights. Responsibilities
Install, repair, and replace glass in windows, doors, and storefronts.
Measure and cut glass to precise specifications using appropriate tools and techniques.
Prepare and maintain work areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness throughout projects.
Consult with clients to assess their needs and provide expert recommendations for glass solutions.
Ensure all installations comply with local building codes and regulations.
Handle and transport glass materials safely to prevent damage or injury.
Work collaboratively with other construction professionals such as builders, carpenters, and electricians.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a glazier apprenticeship program preferred.
Proven experience as a Glazier or similar role in the glass installation industry.
Strong knowledge of glass types, properties, and installation techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent manual dexterity and physical strength to handle glass and equipment.
Familiarity with glass-cutting tools and safety procedures.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.

Pay Per Hour: £18.42
