A construction design consultancy based in Reading is looking to add a successful Business Development Executive to their team on a permanent basis.
The role will be to ensure the business is effectively opening new doors to clients and mapping out new markets. The Business Development Executive is a forward-thinking and creative individual.
An enthusiastic team player, experienced in generating sales leads and appointments as well as following up on leads passed by other members of the team.
Job Specific
* Responsible for generating sales leads and appointments using databases and market mapping data that targets specific industries and regions, as well as developing your own portfolio of potential targets using available resources.
* Responsible for assisting with the development of business in existing accounts with potential and with new prospects, working with the sales team.
* Responsible for using tools like LinkedIn and other search engines to find the right contacts within the industry and to build intel of the industries and regions we are targeting.
* Call prospects to get an understanding of needs on site and identify opportunities.
* Book appointments with the decision maker for our sales team.
* Answer incoming calls from prospective clients.
* Responsible for grading prospects against our company ‘target customer profile’.
Skills
* Demonstrable experience in a similar role with quantifiable results, preferably in the construction industry.
* Experience with CRM and other sales systems is advantageous but not essential.
* Proven track record as a lead generator or telemarketer is highly preferred.
* Excellent communication, presentation, verbal and written skills.
* Skilled in negotiation and dealing with setbacks.
* Persistent and results-oriented.
