Doctors Direct have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist (PICU)-Male Ward to work with us at London’s newest Mental Health Partnership Trusts in Psychiatry.
Doctors Direct, part of NHS Professionals, in conjunction with Chase Farm Hospital, offer a full-time position for a Consultant Psychiatrist (PICU) as part of the soon to be formed North London Mental Health Partnership Trust.
About the role:
Devon Ward accommodates 12 male patients and primarily caters to the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey. The ward boasts an exceptional Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) comprising medical professionals, nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, and other specialists.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting comprehensive assessments and risk assessments
* Developing management plans
* Ensuring the safe prescription of psychotropic medications for service users
* Leading and participating in daily patient management meetings
* Consulting with the MDT on patient care
* Managing patients detained under the Mental Health Act, including restricted patients

* Location: Devon Ward, Chase Farm Hospital, Enfield
* Shift patterns: 09:00-17:00, Mon-Fri ongoing
* Rate: Negotiable
* Start date: ASAP – subject to compliance and RTW checks

About you:
* Valid GMC
* Right to work in the UK (note; we are unable to provide sponsorship)
* Minimum 6 months NHS experience
* Specialist Registration preferred but not essential
* PAYE payment only; we do not facilitate payment via umbrella or LTD company
