In short, this is a Midlands based food manufacturer looking for a Junior Category Manager to step a Category Manager role with the opportunity to develop the function alongside the Head of Sales. This will balance retail story telling with commercial data analysis and work cross functionally with sales and marketing to really elevate positioning and identify new areas for development. This business is going places and have done incredibly well so far, imagine the success when taking a truly data-led approach The Role: Using data to identify insights that will influence shopper behaviours and promote business growth Interpret data and highlight any key issues, providing the commercial team with insight into market activity and enable specific product recommendations based on highlighted trends Build and nurture strong relationships, communicating clearly with retailers to ensure smooth roll out of range reviews Attend regular meetings with retailers to gain understanding of their needs and provide solutions Ability to work collaboratively with the sales team, translating insight into performance driving strategy The Person: Minimum of 2 years’ experience of FMCG category/insights management Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Familiar with Nielson, Kantar and retailer data sets Experience managing relationships with retailers Ability to interpret data and extract key insights Capability to present data and insights both internally and externally with passion and energy Ability to make recommendations to key stakeholders to assist the growth of the business To apply directly please send a copy of your CV to emiliesignaturecm.co.uk or alternatively please apply via the link below.
