About the job:
We have a permanent Senior Finance Officer opportunity within our Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will play a lead role in delivering effective financial control, reporting, systems and processes.
In this role you will:
1. Be accountable to produce accurate and on time monthly management accounts pack and KPI reporting for all areas of Scottish Autism in line with the reporting timetable
2. Assist the Financial Controller to ensure that appropriate financial control processes are in place, and overseeing the implementation of these controls on a day to day basis
3. Coordinate the collation of commentary and analysis of variances to budget/reforecast
4. Provide line management support, advice and guidance to the Finance Assistants

You will have a recognised accounting qualification e.g. HND Accounting and/or AAT, with experience developed in a similar or equivalent role. Experience of system optimisation, process improvement along with practical application of account regulations and proficient use of specialist finance systems and Microsoft applications, in particular Excel is essential for this role.
