Outbound Sales Specialist - bonus + commissions
We have an exciting opportunity for an Outbound Sales Specialist to join the Argyle Winery hospitality team! Reporting to the Wine Club & Guest Services Manager, this key role of the DTC team is focused on the Argyle brand in phone sales, and fostering member and customer relationships through phone and email to meet annual sales targets, while providing support to Guest Services and the Wine Club. This role leads the execution of OBS campaigns (phone and email) focused on selling wine to our customer database. This role has a work schedule Monday - Friday with some schedule flexibility to attend mandatory meetings and to work events which may fall on an occasional weekend. This is a full-time, salary non-exempt position and the incumbent qualifies for our outstanding health care benefits, PTO, 401k plan, wine allowance and more!
Minimum Qualifications:
1. 3-5 years of customer service or tele-sales experience, preferably in the wine industry
2. Wine accreditation is a plus
3. High school graduate or GED; college degree preferred
4. Deep passion for wine and the wine industry
5. Knowledge of the Willamette landscape is a plus
6. Formal training in phone sales techniques & best practices
7. A passion for meeting sales targets and closing sales while maintaining established standards of professionalism and customer service
8. Best in class phone sales and CRM development
9. Proven ability to close sales, up- and cross-sell, build relationships that go beyond single transactions
10. Exemplary follow-up and follow-through; self starter and able to work autonomously
11. Proven communication skills, including verbal (presentation) and written (email)
12. Ability to understand and channel the essence of the Argyle brand
13. Attention to detail and organizational skills
14. Experience with web-based platforms
15. Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
16. Must be able to provide U.S. Work Authorization without current or future sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Outbound Sales (80-90%)
1. Build, manage, and grow relationships with top members, customers, and corporate gifting clients.
2. Conduct outbound telephone sales, including text or email follow-ups, selling the full wine portfolio while generating and managing leads.
3. Meet individual sales targets and weekly/monthly call goals, providing prompt and accurate order entry and customer service.
4. Maintain and update internal databases with customer information gathered during interactions.
5. Suggest outbound sales best practices and provide feedback on campaigns and future strategies to the manager.
6. Respond promptly to customer inquiries and troubleshoot as needed.
7. Participate in required onsite team meetings or tastings.
8. Attend relevant sales and CRM (customer relationship management) related external trainings.
2. Membership & Guest Services (10-20%)
1. Execute Club Add-On Campaigns that encourage Club Members to add more wine to their Wine Club Orders
2. Assist with Guest Services and Wine Club duties to support overall team objectives and customer satisfaction.
