Science Teacher
Location: Newcastle
Pay Scale: £120 - £180 per day
Start: September 2024
Contract: Part-Time/Full-Time
GSL Education’s Newcastle branch is looking for a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our client schools in Newcastle.
Job summary:
The Science Teacher will be responsible for teaching science subjects to students at various levels, preparing them for GCSEs and A-Levels, and fostering a deep understanding of scientific principles and discoveries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational science lessons.
* Assess and monitor student progress and adapt lessons to suit individual needs.
* Maintain a motivating and interactive classroom environment.
* Participate in and organize scientific activities and projects.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in science.
* Experience in teaching Science at secondary level.
* Strong knowledge of the current curriculum and assessment methods.
* Passion for science and education.
* An updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
