This role is best suited for individuals who can:
1. Work with pupils on a one to one basis or in small groups
2. Support the teacher to deliver informative and engaging lessons
3. Support students with challenging behaviour
4. Prepare for lessons (e.g. preparing resources, putting out equipment)
5. Support with some of the pupils' additional care needs (e.g. feeding, toileting)
6. Support the children in completing day to day tasks around the classroom and with their learning
7. Ensure that pupils are safeguarded and supported
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
1. Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
2. Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
3. 2 recent professional references
4. Experience with challenging behaviours
5. A calm & caring personality
6. A strong and resilient personality and be committed to pupils' development
7. Reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills
8. Team Teach trained or willing to attend training
