The Role:
As a Lead Repair Engineer, you will read and interpret drawings of complex engine parts. In this role, you will produce clear graphics using various software to provide the necessary and sufficient information.
Key responsibilities:
* Experience in substantiation of repairs depending on the various factors to meet regulatory requirements.
* Aware of airworthiness regulatory and flight safety requirements.
* Knowledge of the various alloys and materials used in the manufacture of different engine hardware.
* Willingness to work in flexible schedules depending on the need to interact with customers in different time zones.
Your Profile:
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Bachelors/Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering.
* Good understanding of the construction and working of aircraft engines, various parts of the engine, and their functions.
* Good knowledge of the various types of repair processes involved in the restoration of variety of damage commonly observed on Aero engine components.
* Knowledge on how to sequence various operations during different repair processes.
* Experience in a commercial/military aircraft engine MRO shop or in a company that does repair development engineering work on aircraft engine parts.
* Able to make engineering judgements based on the limited data available.
