You will assist in caring for customers in their own homes. The successful candidates will be required to travel to and from customers’ homes to undertake personal care and household duties for our customers who may be suffering from mobility problems, Dementia, end of life or they may just need some help getting back to full health after a period in hospital. We are looking for dedicated and reliable people who have an excellent work ethic and a passion for caring for people. Additional Information Principal responsibilities of a Care Assistant are: Responsibilities: Provide a high quality of care Respect the individuality and confidentiality of each customer To respect the customer’s independence and authority and to treat them at all times with fairness and courtesy Ensure the health, safety and welfare of customers and themselves Assisting customers to get up and/or go to bed Assisting customers with personal hygiene, dressing & undressing, toileting etc. Keeping customers company by day or sitting / waking night in the customer’s home at night providing personal care as required Assisting customers with preparation of meals, or other food and / or beverages Undertake cleaning duties e.g. dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, washing dishes etc. Maintain regular communication with care manager.
