ACCOUNT/ SALES MANAGER - GROUND ENGAGING TOOLS FOR CONSTRUCTION, MINING AND QUARRYING EQUIPMENT
The Account/ Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales and new business activities towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values for ground engaging tools for construction, mining and quarrying equipment – this is the primary focus of the role. Experience with this type of equipment and/or wearing metal is key to the role. Con Mech Engineers also makes recycling wear parts (crushing, screening and waste management) and offers heat treatment and precision machining services, so experience in these areas would be an asset.
Key Tasks:
* Develop relationships with new and existing contacts and clients, maximising opportunities within those relationships and promote Con Mech Engineers and its core offering of ground engaging tools for construction, mining and quarrying equipment. Sales assistance is also needed for recycling wear parts (crushing, screening and waste management), heat treatment services, and precision machining services.
* Maintain relationships with new and existing customers via telephone calls, emails and regular in-person visits.
* Manage new and existing customer accounts from enquiry through to delivery.
* Arrange meetings with potential and existing customers to prospect for new business.
* Act as a contact between the Company and its potential markets.
* Negotiate terms of agreements and close sales.
* Gather market, customer and competitor information.
* Represent the Company at exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
* Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, activity and order information.
* Gain clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements.
* Make accurate costings and provide customers with quotations, whilst striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
* Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
* Assist the Managing Director to develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
* Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans and materials as needed.
* Review and implement marketing communications strategy.
* Create sales and new business budgets and forecasts.
* Champion customer services with a view to exceeding customer expectations.
* Develop and manage the business and marketing strategy for Con Mech Engineers.
* Attend monthly management meetings, quarterly review meetings and annual review meetings.

Salary expectation: £35-45K p.a. + bonus + company car.
Title and remuneration is negotiable for the right candidate depending upon experience.
