Job Description A manufacturing business in Pocklington are recruiting for a skilled and driven Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers a competitive salary of circa £26,000 to £30,000, alongside opportunities for development and annual leave allowance of 29 days (including bank holidays). As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for: Managing sales and purchase ledgers. Reconciling bank statements and accounts. Generating invoices and ensuring timely credit control. Using Xero/Sage to maintain accurate financial records. Supporting the team with ad-hoc finance tasks while working independently when required. To be successful in this Accounts Assistant role, you will ideally: Have 1-2 years of experience within a finance function. Be proficient in Xero or Sage, and advanced in Microsoft Excel. Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills. Be conscientious, detail-oriented, and a team player. Be keen to learn, develop, and potentially study further. We would be keen to speak with individuals who are currently in an Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Finance Officer, Finance Manager or Bookkeeper role who are looking for a new challenge. This role would also suit an individual who has studied or is currently studying their AAT qualification, but this certification level is not essential.
