Applications are invited for a (6PA) Consultant in Respiratory Medicine and General Medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This post is available to commence from 01 April 2025.
The duties of this post include working at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge as a Respiratory Consultant with some General Medicine responsibility. This is a less than full time post, split between Respiratory Medicine (4PAs) and General Medicine (2PAs).
Main duties of the job
You will work with colleagues to further the care of patients with pleural conditions, and you will support the work of the lung cancer service.
You will contribute to the respiratory on-call rota and when rostered to do so, will be responsible for the care of respiratory in-patients. You will also deliver acute medical take sessions.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Respiratory Medicine or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview.

Leadership is a key requirement of doctors' professional work and this innovative programme is designed to support Consultants to hone the leadership and management skills they need to succeed at CUH.
About us
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
