Duties:
* Ensure the prompt and effective involvement of professional service staff in supporting and enhancing the development of students with SEND across the College.
* Identify and pursue new and additional funding opportunities to support SEND students, ensuring that existing funds are used in accordance with established guidelines.
* Oversee and coordinate the reporting, planning, and compliance processes related to SEN funding claims and audits.
* Track, report, and identify key trends and opportunities within various funding streams to ensure financial support is optimised for the College’s needs.
* Supervise the bursary system, ensuring the efficient management and distribution of funds to eligible students, with a focus on compliance and accuracy.
* Manage and streamline the processes for school trips, including the preparation and approval of forms, defining project scope, and overseeing bookings.
* Supervise and manage the College’s bursary provision, with overall responsibility for ensuring that all student applications for financial support are processed correctly and in line with criteria.
Skills/Experience
* Experience of contributing to successful outcomes in regulatory inspections.
* Confident understanding of learning support strategies and associated pedagogy, best practice and statutory requirements.
* Experience of developing plans and policies for the delivery of high-quality educational services.
* A good grasp and understanding of the issues confronting the FE sector and education in its widest context.
* A good understanding of best practice in safeguarding and student welfare issues.
Qualifications:
* To hold a first degree or equivalent.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
