Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: South East England, Surrey, Croydon Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £90 - £100 Per day Job Duties: Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development Assisting teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs Providing one-to-one or small group support to SEN students during class time Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for SEN students Required Qualifications: GCSEs or equivalent in English and Mathematics Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or willingness to undergo training Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) Education: Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent in English and Mathematics Experience: Prior experience working with children or individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support SEN students Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting student development Preferred Qualifications: Higher level qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a similar setting Working Conditions: Working hours are typically during school hours, Monday to Friday May involve some additional hours for planning and meetings Work is mainly classroom-based with opportunities for outdoor activities and field trips All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
