Location(s): UK, Europe & Africa : UK : Gloucester Job Title: Deputy Site Security Controller Location: Gloucester - Please note this position is based wholly on-site in Gloucester and is not a hybrid role What you'll be doing Join us as a Deputy Site Security Controller, playing a crucial role in managing security operations for a vital site. You'll ensure the protection of our business by implementing rigorous security measures in line with Company and client requirements, covering personnel, infrastructure, information, and assets. Your responsibilities will include providing daily operational support, guidance, and advice on protective security matters, ensuring adherence to security policies, and effectively managing risks. Please note, this position is wholly on-site in Gloucester with a small amount of travel to other sites around the UK for crypto and classified asset management. Responsibilities: Serve as a primary point of contact for all site security and accreditation-related concerns. Assist in ensuring compliance with both client and Company policies across the site. Conduct comprehensive Security Awareness training tailored to various formats. Manage Access Control Systems (AACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) across the site. Liaise with project teams and respond to Security Aspect Letters associated with on-site projects. Support security investigations, ensuring appropriate resolution or escalation when necessary. Proactively identify and escalate any risks to the site or Company to the Site Security Controller. Assist in the management of crypto and classified assets, including potential travel to other UK sites as required. Collaborate with the IT Security team to maintain secure and compliant Company networks. Your skills and experiences Essential: Proficiency in UK Government Security frameworks, including Government Functional Standard GovS 007: Security, Joint Service Publication 440/441/490, and Information Assurance Standards. Experience with Physical Security Integrated Management Systems. Previous engagement with List X/FSC companies or roles in Protective Security. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, showcasing exceptional prioritization skills. Demonstrated discretion and integrity, handling a significant volume of sensitive information. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience delivering briefings and presentations to both internal staff and external clients. Eligibility for UK National Security Vetting. Due to the sensitive nature of this role, ideal candidates must be UK nationals, either holding current Security Clearance (SC) or being eligible for it. Desirable: Familiarity with approved security products and build standards. Knowledge and experience in IT Security.
