Title: PR Account Manager (B2B agency)
Location: Carshalton, Surrey (hybrid: 2 days office / 3 days home)
Salary: Up to £46,000 (DOE) with a bonus potential of £4k

We are seeking a dynamic Account Manager (B2B) to join our friendly and professional team in Carshalton, Surrey. Established for more than 50 years, we are currently the only agency to be a Platinum holder of the PRCA's CMS standard - a hallmark of excellence in the PR and Communications industry.
As an Account Manager, you will create a wide range of written content, including press releases, technical articles, case studies, advertorials, features, thought leadership pieces, web copy, and both short and long-form social media posts.
You will work to develop a deep understanding of our clients’ products, technology, and brand to ensure consistency in tone, personality, and style across all written work.
Reporting into our team of Account Directors, you will manage the day-to-day running of accounts, build strong relationships with clients, pitch ideas and stories to journalists, collaborate with our design and digital teams to fulfil client briefs, attend client meetings and events, and provide support in event/exhibition management.
Hours of work:
This is a full-time hybrid role (typically spending Tuesday & Thursday working from the agency’s modern offices in Carshalton, Surrey, and up to three days working from home). You will be working alongside talented colleagues who regularly achieve fantastic results for an impressive array of international blue-chip businesses (see our website for client details).
Account Manager requirements:
1. At least 2-3 years in a content creation, journalism, marcomms or PR role are essential. Candidates with relevant degrees in the arts, media or public relations are highly desirable, as are applicants with qualifications from the NCTJ, PRCA or CIPR
2. An ability to produce exceptional written content
3. Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal expertise
4. A passion for the media, including social media
5. A flair for creativity and innovation
6. Be commercially aware and business savvy
7. Experience in building influential networks
8. Solid project management skills
9. Mature ability to brief designers, photographers & videographers in a knowledgeable and precise manner
10. Ability to work to deadlines

You will be working across a range of clients within, predominantly, the animal health, veterinary and manufacturing sectors. We also have clients in the automotive, aviation and human health sectors, and we pride ourselves on longstanding client relationships. Indeed, many of our clients have been with the agency for well over a decade.
Whilst previous sector experience is not necessary, as we hire based upon skills set, attitude, professionalism and a commitment to delivering first class work for our clients – an ability to write on topics of a technical nature is essential.
