Background
Vectare is a rapidly expanding transport-technology business. We have left the startup phase behind, with a strong product and 170+ high-value clients, but we are not yet a large corporate, tied down by bureaucracy. This is a fantastic opportunity to help grow a product, a team, and a business.
We have a team of 6 developers, and we are looking to employ 2 more immediately.
At Vectare, no two days are the same. What is certain, is that you’ll be developing cutting edge technology for the transport industry, primarily delivering app and website development with opportunities to contribute to various R&D projects.

Criteria
Requirements
● 2 years of programming experience in any language
● Familiarity with “good” development practices:
* Git
* Automated testing
* Documentation
● Good people skills
● Satisfaction from a “job well done”
● Adaptability to new skills and technologies

Role and responsibilities
● Development of our suite of web and app-based products (see below).
● Assisting with design decisions of our products.
● Collaborating with internal and external clients to find the best solution to problems.
● Any other reasonable technology-based tasks.
Our current suite of products
● VecTive: a bus service booking and management system, currently primarily for schools, which all other systems link into.
● Driver app: providing real-time tracking and passenger registration.
● Passenger app: managing bookings and viewing of tracking.
● Data portal: a geographical visualisation tool for planning bus services.
● DRT: managing and optimising public demand-responsive transport bookings.
● Scheduling system (beta): an industry-first tool to fully digitise the management of both service buses and coaches, to dramatically speed up the process of scheduling bus services.
● CRM (beta): an internal tool to centralise all customer interactions (emails, SMS’s, phone calls, letters) to improve customer service.
