Join the Logical Configuration Team, the team that are responsible for the Logical Configuration of the Access and Core Networks Optical and IP including GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) over Fibre and Microwave. The team is also responsible for the Logical Configuration of the DCN (Data Control Networks) and Sync networks and for migration activities to support Rationalisation/Closure projects.
What You'll Do:
* Accountability for functional Logical Configuration Access and Core
* To ensure all Logical Configuration functions onshore and offshore are aligned to the Network Connectivity planning/configuration guidelines.
* Accountable for all UAT (User Acceptance Testing) testing on new Product/Service Integration into the BAU process
* Accountable for networks Logical Configuration for Sync and DCN
* Meet all SLA's Logical Configuration function.
* Managing of third party resources onshore and offshore as part of an extended team
* Partnering with Field Engineering teams for live migrations, activations and fault resolution
* The role holder may be required to work weekends and/or nights ad-hoc
Who you are
* Command Line configuration of at least one of the following: Cisco ASR / Nokia-Alcatel Sr infrastructure
* Experience of at least one of the following: Technologies/protocols such as BGP Peering & IPVPN/VRF/VPRN/E1 Emulation/MPLS deployments
* Prior experience of engaging in fault finding procedures to resolve issues during installations or migration activities
* Having a proactive approach to adapt to new workstreams and processes as the network evolves
* Ability to drive a culture of governance and control within the team
* Ability to get things done in a matrix organisation
Please note: The ability to achieve and maintain Security Clearance is required for this role.
