Description
Please see below for the job description:
1. Plan and lead training sessions to a group of mixed ability members with diverse backgrounds and experience of the sport.
2. Build confidence of returning members and keep retention rates up.
3. Provide coaching expertise to improve the quality and standard of training.
4. Be a consistently encouraging and motivating presence within the club.
5. Be prepared to run sessions, communicating effectively between captains and members.
6. Recognise the strengths and weaknesses of the club and adjust sessions accordingly.
7. Develop the club to be more competitive and win as many competitions as possible.
8. Be passionate about the sport and building an inclusive and fun environment for members.
9. Have an understanding of higher education sport.
10. Focus on improving members' technique to prevent injury.
11. Work with the club committee to achieve the club's aims and objectives for this year.
12. Display good coaching conduct in line with Queen Mary Students' Union Code of Conduct.
Please note, all QMSU Sport Coaches are required to hold a coaching certification relevant to their sport, as well as relevant first aid and public liability insurance documentation.
