A major highways project with a Tier 1 main contractor who are seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor in Winchester.
The main contractor is one of the leading engineering companies in the UK specialising in highways projects and currently turning over more than £600m per annum.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join a leading contractor on an extraordinary project.
Responsibilities (but not limited to) for Managing Quantity Surveyor:
* Raise early warning notices to the client and subcontractors
* Identify, notify and price compensation events
* Produce or support the production of CVRs.
* Manage subcontractors from tender enquiries to final accounts
* Review subcontract quotations and place subcontract orders
* Assess and pay subcontract applications
* You will be responsible for preparing applications for payment for assigned work packages
* Agreeing on final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
* Working closely with the commercial lead on day-to-day duties on the site.
Requirements for Managing Quantity Surveyor:
* Experience in a management role within a commercial team (Desirable)
* Highways experience or a similar Sector
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
* Full right to work in the UK.
