Job Description
We are seeking a Payment Specialist with FX experience for our client, a rapidly growing payments fintech company based in London. The role involves hands-on payment processing, managing and optimising payment workflows, ensuring compliance, preventing fraud, and maintaining relationships with banks and payment service providers.
For the first 6 months, full-time office attendance in our London office is required. Afterward, the role will transition to a hybrid model, with a continued emphasis on office presence. Travel expenses for commuting will be covered as part of a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
* Payment Processing: Oversee daily payments (SEPA, SWIFT, FPS, etc.), reconcile transactions, and ensure timely, accurate execution.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with FCA, PSD2, AML, and KYC regulations, and assist with audits and regulatory reporting.
* System Management: Work with IT to implement new payment solutions and resolve technical issues.
* Risk & Fraud Management: Monitor transactions, detect and prevent fraud, and mitigate risks.
* Relationship Management: Cultivate partnerships with banks and payment providers, including negotiating contracts.
* Customer Support: Address complex payment issues and manage escalations.
* Reporting & Analysis: Generate payment reports, analyse data, and provide actionable insights for process improvements.
Requirements:
* Experience in payment operations, preferably within financial services.
* Knowledge of UK/EU payment systems and FCA regulations.
* Experience with payment gateways, APIs, and fraud detection systems.
