Electrical Systems Technician - Contract 6 Months (Good chance of extension)
Are you a skilled Electrical Fitter looking to make an impact in a cutting-edge, global leader in military vehicle integration? Our client is contributing to the assembly and integration of advanced armoured vehicles for multiple military contracts and they would love to hear from you.
This challenging position involves the installation of bespoke MOTS/COTS electrical systems in support of both vehicle and survivability systems. Some bench manufacture of individual looms and bench modification of electro-mechanical sub-systems may also be required to support certain bespoke projects.

MAIN JOB DUTIES
1. Support to the Company's production activities at client sites.
2. Hands-on assembly of electrical looms including:
1. Reading schematic drawings
2. Managing BoMs
3. Controlling stocks of electrical consumables
3. Support continuous improvement initiatives to include lean manufacturing principles.
4. Assist the Team leader on meeting performance-based outputs (KPI's).
5. Assist, where required, the Electrical Design team on prototype development of electrical and electro-mechanical sub-systems being embodied into our products.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
1. HNC/BTEC Diploma or equivalent in Automotive Systems installation and repair.
2. Experience of low production manufacturing techniques and processes.
3. An understanding of military specification radios and electrical sub-systems or similar.
4. An understanding of OEM automotive vehicle systems.
5. An understanding of the impact of electromagnetic influence on electrical sub-systems and networks.
6. Be able to apply system design electrical theory and electronic principles to sub-system faults.
