What you will do:
1. As Head of Forecasting and Optimisation – Banking Products you will be responsible for the development, management and ongoing improvements to all Banking Product models and forecasting tools.
2. You will be a data evangelist, with advanced SQL and Excel skills, with a pragmatic business acumen who can have rich discussion with team members to drive out business requirements and translate them into data and analytics requirements and outcomes – delivering them yourself and/or through our data and analytics teams/capabilities (including outsourced teams).
3. You will have high attention to detail – ensuring appropriate oversight and controls for input/output quality.
4. You will work closely with the Head of Banking Products, Head of Cards, Payments and Fees and the Head of Delivery and Controls to understand and build out data rich modelling and forecast tools that aid understanding, decisions, next best course of action and accurate performance forecasts.
5. You will also own the Banking Product teams backlog of MI working closely with the Banking Product Team and internal stakeholders including Value Streams/Product Owners to refine requirements and prioritise delivery via our data and analytics teams/capabilities.
6. You will own the risks and controls for your models including ensuring processes surrounding the creation of MI, analytics and models are clearly documented in-line with the Banks standards.
7. You will drive a positive risk culture in the team ensuring decisions are taken that understand and appropriately mitigate the risks associated with the decision and ultimately drive good customer outcomes.
8. This role has no direct line management responsibilities – instead relying on a virtual team of internal and external stakeholders to deliver to business requirements.

3. You will be comfortable working with large bodies of complex data.
4. You will have high attention to detail ensuring data and analytics/modelled outputs are robust and accurate.
5. You will be a strong communicator, able to distil complex data into output that can drive business outcomes and influence stakeholders.
6. Genuine interest in your discipline and desire to make a difference.
7. You will have a deep understanding of data modelling and statistical techniques.
