Description
NYX, Inc. is seeking a skilled Sequencing Manager to oversee and maintain our critical IT infrastructure and Insequence software systems. This role is integral to ensuring that our manufacturing plant locations across the US and Mexico operate seamlessly around the clock. The ideal candidate is someone who listens attentively, can effectively “read a screen,” and is adaptable to shift work beyond traditional day hours.
Key Responsibilities
Employment Type: Full-Time (Night and Weekend Shifts Required)
1. Server Management & Maintenance:
1. Oversee and manage Windows Server environments (2012 and 2019).
2. Ensure optimal performance and security of servers.
2. Database & Reporting Administration:
1. Maintain and optimize SQL databases, including routine maintenance and query performance.
2. Develop and manage SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) reports to support operational decision-making.
3. Insequence Software Administration:
1. Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of Insequence software systems.
2. Develop and deliver user training programs to ensure effective utilization.
3. Provide remote support and troubleshooting for end-users to resolve technical issues swiftly.
4. Support Across Locations:
1. Provide IT support for manufacturing plant locations in the US and Mexico.
2. Coordinate with regional teams to ensure consistent and reliable IT services.
5. Shift Flexibility:
1. Cover night and weekend shifts to ensure 24/7 support, filling the gap left by day shift staff.
2. Monitor systems proactively during off-hours to promptly address any issues.
Qualification, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Technical Expertise
1. Proven experience managing Windows Server 2012/2019 environments.
2. Strong skills in SQL database maintenance, query optimization, and SSRS.
3. Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and support enterprise software solutions, preferably with experience in Insequence or similar systems.
Communication & Problem-Solving:
1. Excellent listening skills and the ability to interpret technical data and system alerts accurately.
2. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently and as part of a team.
3. Effective communication skills for user training and remote support.
Flexibility
1. Willingness and ability to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends.
2. Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
Experience:
1. A minimum of [X] years of experience in IT systems management, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
2. Demonstrated leadership and team coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Prior experience working with geographically dispersed teams across different time zones.
2. Certifications in Microsoft Server administration, SQL Server, or relevant IT management credentials.
3. Experience in process improvement and IT project management.
