Transport Manager – Entertee Hire Services
Entertee are an award-winning supplier of temporary infrastructure for the events industry providing security fencing, barriers and trackway/access products for music festivals, concerts, and community events within the UK.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Manager to organise and coordinate all aspects of the transport function, providing key support to the Operations Manager.
You will own and be responsible for the performance of your drivers and for the internal and external service, safety, and cost KPI's of the Transport department. You will ensure the effective day-to-day running of the Department, providing your team with clear leadership, communication, guidance, and support to ensure the right processes and procedures are followed, that legal compliance is adhered to, and that performance metrics are achieved.
The Successful Applicant
Candidates wishing to be considered must meet the following criteria:
* CPC in Transport Management is a requirement of the role
* Previous experience managing teams within a transport operation
* Good knowledge of the UK road network
* Excellent planning skills and ability to offer creative solutions
* Knowledge of Telematics and associated reporting
* Planning and arranging for the upkeep of all fleet vehicles in line with current Transport Legislation
* The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* A deep understanding of the challenges that drivers face on a daily basis, either through direct experience or close management of drivers
Additional Skills:
* Ensuring all drivers comply and maintain company standards
* Manage all aspects of the booking of external hauliers
* Booking and management of all Plant Vehicles both on-site and for external jobs/projects
* Raising and managing purchase order arrangements with external hauliers and plant hire companies
* Driver management and training
