We are currently recruiting for a BANK Mental Health Recovery Worker to work within our Hertfordshire community befriending service covering East Hertfordshire which would include Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire and Ware & Villages.
Overview of the role purpose:
As a BANK Mental Health Recovery Worker you will help people using the service to achieve their personal recovery plans as well as signpost them to a range of social, recreational and educational activities as well as assisting with the running of our social groups such as coffee mornings at cafes.
Some of the essential skills and experience required for this role include:
* Experience of providing support to people with a mental illness; or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting in either a paid or voluntary capacity.
* The ability to make a comprehensive assessment of an individual’s situation and needs; to develop, implement and review risk management plans and devise support plans to meet these needs.
* Be familiar with individual Care/Recovery Plans and support people who use our services in achieving their goals
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Be a strong communicator with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
* Transferable life/work experience to apply to this role
* Be a good listener, empathetic, understanding, kind, patient and willing to learn.
* To demonstrate behaviours consistent with the values of the Charity.
