•The opportunity to try new things while supporting people to achieve their goals Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: In our New Deer service, you will be supporting 2 individuals who live in bungalows next door to each other. The people we support require someone who is flexible, reliable and can think outside of the box, while remaining positive and having fun. You need to be adaptable, as each day is different and you never know what the day ahead holds. One of the individuals we support likes to be at home with his own comforts and loves to work with his staff to maintain his home and garden. He enjoys a foot spa, drawing, puzzles, tabletop activities, listening to music, DVDs and listening to Spotify. He likes to Facetime with his family and enjoys their weekly visits. We are looking for someone to assist with consistency with him, but who will also encourage him to participate in different activities. The other individual we support loves to be involved with arts and crafts, dancing, using the Community gym, going on trips to the pub and attending the T Club in Peterhead. He enjoys going to work at Buchan Farm and Aden Wood Craft, and likes to go shopping, seeing his family, going to the cinema, watching darts, playing pool and doing jigsaws. He enjoys doing housework with support As the men we support enjoy getting out and about, it is essential the successful candidate holds a full UK driving license as the Service is in a remote location and not linked to a local bus service. We are looking to recruit a 30-hour post with shifts from 8am to 9.30pm and 8am to 8am and looking for flexibility to cover late or early shifts on different days (this will include some weekend work) One of the values of Community Integrated Care is our passion for our people and every year we invest in our front-line worker pay in line with the Living Wage increase each April. Our promise has always been clear: we will do everything in our power to improve pay for colleagues. And so, if you start with us between now and 31 March your pay with be £12.50 and then from the 1st April, this will increase to £13.01
