About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented Head of Sales to lead and drive our clients sales strategy for a dynamic and innovative payments company. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in sales within financial services, including at least 3 years in a leadership role, and a deep understanding of the payments industry. This individual will be responsible for shaping the sales strategy, expanding market share, and achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Design and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth and meet revenue targets, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team, setting performance goals and developing team capabilities to drive optimal results.
- Business Development: Identify, pursue, and close high-value deals with key clients in the financial services sector, focusing on payments solutions for mid-to-large-sized businesses.
- Market Expansion: Strategically target and expand into new markets within the payments space, maximizing sales opportunities and building long-term client relationships.
- **Stakeholder Collaboration:** Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Compliance teams to align sales initiatives with product offerings, ensuring competitive positioning and regulatory compliance.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs, monitor team performance, and report on sales metrics, using insights to improve strategies and address areas of underperformance.
- Revenue & Growth: Drive revenue growth by implementing scalable sales practices, upselling and cross-selling solutions, and managing large accounts to support sustainable growth.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in sales within the financial services industry, with a strong background in payments solutions and at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and grow a sales team, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of payments solutions, industry trends, and regulatory requirements impacting financial services.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess sales strategies, interpret market trends, and leverage insights to drive growth.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
