You will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, client, and UKPN Services standards, and lead a team of engineers to produce top-tier design solutions. Your role will involve technical liaison with suppliers and clients, creating new business opportunities, and ensuring successful project delivery.\n\nPrincipal Accountabilities:\n\nDevelop and oversee the delivery of electrical infrastructure designs\nProvide technical input to the team and UKPN Services bids\nEnsure robust design solutions for accurate tender submissions\nLead in developing business opportunities and preparing proposals\nAssess cost/benefit trade-offs and support technical decision-making\nIdentify areas for technological advancement while maintaining engineering standards\nManage design engineers for project deliveryQualifications:\n\nDegree level or equivalent in engineering or science\nExcellent knowledge of power distribution, electrification, protection, and control systems\nSafety management qualification such as NEBOSH certificate or equivalent\nMembership of a professional body such as the IET\nChartered Engineer or working towards Chartership\nBasic knowledge of project managementHealth and Safety Requirements:\n\nEnsure all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements are considered\nPromote safe working methods and systems in design\nMentor junior staff in Health & Safety matters\nCommunicate and implement H&S policies\nCreate a safe working environment for all staff and contractors \n\nReady to take your career to the next level?
