The difference you will make as a Caretaker
In this role, you will have responsibility for the caretaking services of 3 blocks of flats and the accompanying communal areas, ensuring the highest standard of service delivery is provided at all times. We want you to contribute to the quality and safety of the environment by becoming a champion for our customers, taking responsibility for making our estates and communal areas a great place to live.

Role Profile
* Work collaboratively as part of a committed team to carry out a diverse range of tasks, delivering an outstanding experience to customers whilst being supported by your colleagues and Line Manager.
* Be accountable for undertaking excellent caretaking services in the designated areas, including:
o Undertake daily cleaning duties to a high standard
o Report any communal/estate repairs
o Report any anti-social behaviour including fly-tipping
o Have responsibility for accessing the CCTV system
o Keep the internal and external designated areas free of debris, litter and graffiti
o Deal with spillages/biohazards
o Manage bin rooms
o Check communal lighting including undertaking bulb replacement and timer adjustments
o Undertake general health and safety checks, including identifying trip hazards etc
o Complete all daily / weekly tasks as detailed in caretakers’ schedule
o Order cleaning products and equipment, keeping records of purchases and deliveries
o Ensure all information displayed is appropriate, current & authorized
* Provide an excellent customer focused caretaking service for all residents and visitors to the site, including when meeting and escorting external contractors.
Other Information
* You will undertake regular training to enable you to deliver your role safely.
* From time to time, you may be required to undertake additional duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature, as instructed by the Housing Services Manager or Housing Officer for the site.
* Respond flexibly to any necessary changes in work priorities and undertake other duties when required to support the effective operation of the service.
* Ensure that all data protection requirements are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements.

* To demonstrate IT Skills to include a basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
