Health & Safety Officer Ref: 74218 Location: Wakefield, Castleford & Selby Campus Salary: £35,925 to £38,107 per annum, including a 5% market forces payment. Hours: 37 hours per week Weeks: 52 weeks per year We have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Officer to join a friendly, supportive, and positive Estates team. The role is varied with lots of opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge. You will be required to: Lead and promote health and safety for the College, through open engagement with students, staff, and visitors. Coordinate the development of health and safety policies, procedures, systems of work, supported by the Assistant Health and Safety Officer. Produce annual health and safety report. Maintaining up to date knowledge of legislation, guidance and best practice, and communicate relevant changes to affected parties. As a Health and Safety Officer, you should be confident, well organised, and proactive with good IT skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. You will have a pivotal role in supporting the Estates team, and no two days will be the same. This is a diverse role where you will be building relationships with curriculum and support staff, and many other stakeholders.
