THE ROLE
The role of the Location Manager is to lead the location with an entrepreneurial flair running the business like it’s your own. Ensure the achievement of KPI’s by creating an environment of genuine customer connection looking to maximise sales and motivating the team to achieve excellence. The role will guide the store to drive sales and service through education and passion for the designs and collections across the brand.
To be accountable for spurring the business forward and be an inspirational ambassador of Ted who understands and promotes the Company ‘Mission Statement’ and ‘Strategy’.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. People:
o Display confident leadership, effectively inspiring the team to achieve excellence.
o Work with integrity and respect for others; create excellent team participation and ensure the team and location are presented to the highest standards.
o Display a dedicated approach to self-awareness and self-development.
o Engage and inspire the team to deliver excellent customer service at every opportunity with passion and enthusiasm.
o Ensure training and development of the team is continuous by using Ted's Talent & Development resources.
o Provide timely support and coaching to the team at all levels.
o Document and manage underperformance sharing these matters with the Area Manager and People Team.
o Display high levels of personal motivation and implement effective incentives to inspire and drive the team.
o Proactively identify and resolve recruitment needs.
o Use Company tools to effectively on-board New to Ted’s (NTT’s) and New to Position’s (NTP’s).
o Hold regular management meetings to review business and forward plan.
o Keep up to date with the Retail sector constantly looking for new ways of working.
2. Product:
o Develop and inform team members on up to date product knowledge.
o Be accountable for and educate team members on effective implementation of merchandising guidelines.
o Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Ted's current season.
o Be knowledgeable of product, mix, holding and performance in the location.
3. Commercial:
o Accountable for maximising sales potential and ensuring the team are expertly delivering TSE expectations.
o Accountable for driving the team to achieve the location’s performance targets and KPI’s.
o Work to set budgets and effectively manage controllable elements of the store profit and loss.
o Generate marketing opportunities within the brand guidelines.
o Ensure the teams effectively capture customer data at PoS.
o Build and maintain awareness of our competitors and local markets.
o A strong digital focus with the ability to embrace and drive new initiatives.
4. Operations:
o Be highly organised and ensure all adhere to store administration, systems and processes.
o Displays a competent knowledge and understanding of company business systems.
o Take responsibility for the management of controllable costs.
o Protect the assets of the Business by ensuring the location meets the required Company standard and legal compliance.
