We are in search of a Curriculum Manager for Apprenticeships to join our apprenticeships team at Totten College. The post will be line managed by Assistant Principal: Curriculum and Student Experience.
The Curriculum Manager for Apprenticeships role is responsible for the leadership and oversight of a high-quality apprenticeship provision.
The role holder will plan and implement a high-quality apprenticeship curriculum that effectively prepares all apprentices to be successful in their intended next steps. Drawing upon their significant experience, the Curriculum Manager for Apprenticeships will be involved in shaping and influencing the apprenticeship offer to ensure that it develops apprentices knowledge, skills and behaviour.
The role will be pivotal in ensuring that Nacro’s high expectations with respect to teaching, learning and assessment and the provision of apprentice support are delivered consistently so that apprentices are enabled to achieve their potential.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensuring a high-quality learning experience which leads to excellent achievement, progression and destination outcomes for all apprentices
Supporting the development, planning, delivery and monitoring of Nacro’s curriculum to ensure that it meets the needs and aspirations of apprentices and the employment and skills priorities of the regions that we serve.
Leading and collaborating with a diverse range of teams across the directorate and the wider organisation to support, inform and enable the work of the directorate
The successful candidate will have:
English and mathematics qualifications at level 2 or above
Significant experience of delivering or leading teaching, learning and assessment to young people in the Further Education and Skills sector
Knowledge and application of contemporary teaching theory and practice
Experience of curriculum design and development
Knowledge of the Further Education and Skills sector and the related funding and regulatory frameworks
Knowledge and experience of quality and regulatory frameworks and practices including Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework
Experience of collaborative working and joint practice development to drive and inform continuous improvement
Experience of coaching, mentoring and/or supporting employees to drive improvement and development
Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, including legislation and guidance, and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure the safety and wellbeing of apprentices, particularly those who may be vulnerable or at risk
A DBS check will be required for this role.
