Job Title: Fluent Welsh Teaching Assistant Location: Carmarthenshire Salary: £83.85 Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time, Permanent/Temporary Start Date: February 2025 Are you passionate about the Welsh language and helping young learners thrive in a bilingual environment? Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Fluent Welsh Teaching Assistants to support our students in both Welsh and English across the curriculum. Key Responsibilities: Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons in Welsh, supporting students with their Welsh language development. Help students with individual or group work, ensuring they fully engage in the learning process. Provide language support to students who may require additional help with Welsh language skills. Encourage the use of Welsh in everyday activities, fostering a bilingual environment. Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources. Support the pastoral needs of students, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and motivated. Work closely with staff to track students' progress and implement strategies for improvement. Key Requirements: Fluent in Welsh (both spoken and written). Experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting. A passion for the Welsh language and culture, with a commitment to promoting bilingualism. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and support students. Ability to work collaboratively within a team of teachers and other teaching assistants. Flexibility, patience, and a positive, proactive attitude.
