Role Objective:
The Operation Support Engineer will provide support to the Project Managers, Project Engineers and QC/QA team to ensure that Langfields' projects are delivered on time, within budget and meets the high quality standards that our clients have come to expect.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
The Support Engineer is primarily responsible for: -
* Establishing good working relationships with all managers, supervisors, projects, production, and QC/QA personnel to ensure effective operation of all activities throughout Langfields.
* Provide general support throughout the facility, assisting through; quality, welding engineering, projects, and purchasing to develop thorough knowledge of business
* Assist with reviewing client and project specifications for quality related requirements and incorporate these requirements into working documentation.
* Ensure all project documentation is transmitted to clients, reviewed, approved and issued to workshop with relevant traceability.
* Assist with review and monitoring of project ITP’s ensuring all items are captured as per the specific project requirements.
* Assist with material certification review on receipt from suppliers
* Assist with compilation of manufacturing records, documentation & certification for final presentation to the client including scanning / indexing completed databooks.
* Assist with project related meetings, taking minutes and liaising with clients under supervision of project engineers and managers
* Assist with purchasing under direction from project engineers and managers
* Assist in internal audits to ensure QMS requirements are being upheld, including reporting to management on any findings noted, ensuring timely and efficient close-out of actions.
* Assist in external audits from accreditation bodies, clients, and industry bodies.
* Assist with raising Non-conformance reports (NCR), root cause analysis investigations and follow up corrective and preventative actions and timely close-out.
* Input into reporting data for monthly quality reviews for quality statistics, objectives and KPIs.
* Any other duty which, from time to time, may reasonably be required to meet the needs of Langfields and is within the remit of this post.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
This role would suit someone that has recently graduated in an Engineering discipline or someone who has worked in a Fabrication environment (ideally with pressure components) who is looking to make the move from a workshop role to an office role.
