Locum Clinical Psychologist or Neuropsychologist
Mentus Recruitment are working with one of the UK's leading providers of private healthcare who have over 200 sites in the UK that provide Psychiatric inpatient care, supported living facilities and private mental health treatment.
We are seeking an experiencedLocum Clinical Psychologist or Neuropsychologist who would be available for a short term contract at a private psychiatric hospital in Leicestershire.
About the Hospital:The hospital has 3 wards that make up theneurorehabilitation service, providing care and treatment for people with an acquired brain injury or traumatic brain injury, including stroke. They offer continuing care for people with progressive neurological conditions, with behaviors that are challenging to manage in non-specialist settings. Their aim is to enable people to transition to longer-term community care.
About the Role:Working in a full time post the psychologist with provide a neuropsychology service to patients with:- Acquired brain injuries- Traumatic Brain Injuries- Long term service users with complex and challenging behaviour needs due toprogressive neurological conditions
Duties and Responsibilities:- Clinical assessment of new admissions and existing patients-Use of variousneuropsychological testing methods- Meeting face to face with patients to provide a range of treatments- Formulation and treatment- Considering the full range of needs including cognitive, psychological, social and medical factors.- Working as part of an MDT with internal staff and external agencies to combine treatments with other care needs.

Requirements:
Have HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist
Applicants must already have post qualification experience and skills in working with people with a range of neurological conditions such as, acquired brain injury and stroke, and be proficient in the use and interpretation of neuropsychological assessments, as well as in multi-agency and multi-systems working.
