As a Data Analyst at Barchester, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining company data and solutions, as well as undertaking routine maintenance tasks and structural enhancements as required. You will work with the data team and the wider Barchester business to develop appropriate regular and ad-hoc data solution deliverables using the appropriate methodology and ensuring the solution is appropriate, accurate, and can be delivered within agreed timetables

Required experience and qualifications:
Higher education degree
Proven track record in creating and supporting transaction SQL statements
Knowledge of structuring and presenting data to support business decision making
Strong understanding of database design and modelling
Experience in working with non-IT stakeholders to support and enable the development of reporting requirements
Experience with Azure would be beneficial
Full UK driving licence, with ability to travel to Inverness
Role and responsibilities:
Collect, clean, and validate data to ensure its integrity and relevance
Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights
Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization
Develop and maintain databases and data systems to support various business functions
Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic
Perform statistical analysis to support decision-making processes
Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies
