We have an opportunity for a Specialist Nurse to join their team of staff in the Oncology department.
This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis. You will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
* Registered Nurse - Diploma, BSc
* Willingness to develop or already hold: SACT passport and/or SACT postgraduate degree
* Oncology/Hematology experience essential
* Experience in pre-chemo assessment, chemotherapy delivery, and new patient consultations
* Postgraduate breast care or hematology an advantage
* Advanced communication skills an advantage
* Time management and organisation skills essential
* Patient-centred approach
* Able to work as part of a team and also autonomously
* Excellent documentation skills essential
Duties of this role include:
* Required to work closely with Oncologists
* Conduct yourself professionally within the standard and framework provided by the NMC Codes of Professional Conduct and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
